At the continental level, the Black Queens remain among Africa’s leading sides, currently ranked third in the CAF standings, underlining their status as one of the top teams on the continent.

The latest ranking boost comes as a timely lift ahead of the upcoming 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, with the team aiming to build on this momentum and push for a strong showing.

The tournament will start on July 26, with Ghana facing Cape Verde, Cameroon and Mali in the group stage.
